One of the best internet maps available is Google Earth, but Windows Live Local has some incredible close up imagery of the world as well. Want to explore the world? Do it virtually. With Google Earth you can fly over any destination in seconds. The satellite map is presented to me in vivid detail. Some
innovative users have already begun using these satellite maps to
advertise their products and services and Google Earth is all set to
become the best known example of collaborative satellite map technology
in the world.
Just recently I had read that National Geographic is going to provide links to video and imagery taken from various parts of the world. Other companies are combining google earth with other applications, such as real estate listings to provide incredibly rich and useful applications.
