What Frank is talking about here is the mouse pointer (which is often called a cursor, but Frank is using the correct term here) will sometimes change from an arrow into a little hourglass.

What this means, generally speaking, is that the computer is “pausing to think” for a moment. Mac computers do the same thing, except that they show this with a spinning “beach ball” or multi-colored pinwheel.

This is normal if it happens occasionally, but it should always go back to a regular arrow-shaped pointer after a few moments, except maybe when the computer is doing something very hard on the computer like making changes to a large photo or saving a home movie you’ve been editing, or something like that.

And even in those cases, it should still go back to normal after a few minutes or so, depending on exactly what you’re doing.

So in other words, something simple like replying to an email shouldn’t cause the hourglass (or beachball osx) to appear at all, or definitely not for more than a moment or two.

Undoubtedly you need professional sounding drum tracks for your music. But how to get great sounding drums without breaking the bank?

Many folks see the solution to the problem in drum pattern software samples, such as the BFD premium drum module.

The biggest two drawbacks to using drum sample software are:
1)“Canned”, uninspired results — drum tracks that sound disconnected from your music.
2) Large amounts of time being wasted putting together “custom” tracks slice-by-slice with individual-hit drum samples.

Most of these drum sample software packages give you pre-made loops you can use.

But even if a pre-made drum pattern works partly, there are inevitably parts of your song that could use a little bit of variety.

And at this point you may decide that you need to construct the drum parts yourself, hit-by-hit, slice-by-slice, using single-hit drum samples. Admittedly, you’ll probably get a better result this way as you at least have control over specific cymbal crashes, adding bass drum notes, fills, etc.

There is a big problem to this approach however: It takes up huge amounts of your precious time.

You can now get real, custom drum tracks from a session drummer over the Internet and save a whole lot of money over conventional recording methods. Conventional recording methods tend to involve having to pay several people (renting the studio, carting the drums there, paying the producer, the engineer(s), drummer, etc.).

All that can really add up.

Don’t go with drum pattern software, samples are “canned” goods! Go for fresh, custom drum tracks online.

I have people telling me all the time  …”I have a problem with a videos I made. First one, made with Camtasia, was 2.5 Mb and was rejected by youtube as to large.Also, I don’t understand how to get audio and picture together.I always end up with just one. I had video from a friend with picture and audio but could not get what I wanted, didn’t work well.”

Another new addition to Halo 3 are the Halo 3 Skulls. These skulls once obtained can allow the gamer to change their game play by making it more challenging, or changing things such as dialogue or appearance. These skulls are generally placed out of the way so that gamers have to look around in different levels to be able to find them. It’s strange how we remain oblivious to some things until they literally happen to us. I know I was this way in regards to spyware infections. I simply assumed that my computer wasn’t susceptible to online adware and spyware. Man was I ever wrong. Finally one day I noticed how slow my computer was loading pages on the web. I immediately assumed it was my Internet connection. Finally when I had the computer looked at, I discovered it was under the influence of a adware infection. If you were to think of the best first-person shooter that’s available for a console, what would you say it is? Many gamers would say it’s Halo 3 for Xbox. If you were to think of a popular name in the gaming industry, who would you think of? Does Bungie Studio’s come to mind? Maybe the word Halo might be a better word. The developer’s of Halo by Bungie was originally founded in 1991 by two undergraduate students. When they first started they went by the name ‘Bungie Software Products Corporation’ and primarily released games for Macintosh. However in 2000 they teamed up with Microsoft to produce a killer first-person shooter that went by the name of Halo. Although before the highly successful Halo trilogy came onto the market, they also produce such games as the Myth series, Marathon and Oni.
