Business Intelligence and Reporting
The company I work at is in the process of shopping for an integrated business intelligence and performance management application, and we are evaluating a couple of vendors, with one of them being Actuate. Actuate is a mid-sized company located in the San Mateo, California, (near San Francisco), that competes in the business intelligence and reporting space. They offered a pretty extensive business intelligence suite with a pixel perfect reporting tool, a spreadsheet product, performance management suite and a metadata tool. We are leaning toward Actuate because of the superb integration between all reporting products and because the spreadsheet tool solved a lot our compliance issues.
