Ask and you will be answered

Learning a new skill can be both fulfilling and frustrating at separate times. Fulfilling when everything goes your way and you have momentum. Frustrating when you hit a wall. As an example, learning a new programming language is fun when your programs work, but when they stop working it can be a drag figuring out what you have done wrong.

Asking an expert is a wise thing to do when you are stuck. The Internet is full of people interested in helping others, and simply asking the way you are bound to get tons of quality answers.

The problem often lies in that you often get tons of bad answers also. The clue here is to ask the questions on the right web sites. Try to find message boards that are self-regulating in the sense that garbage answers are moderated by the members, in other words not tolerated. When you find communities like that, you have struck gold!
