Nikon D700 DSLR Review
The Nikon D700 is Nikon’s excellent full-frame SLR that takes the D3’s large ‘FX’ format sensor and squeezes it into smaller body. It is cheaper and much lighter than the flagship D3X, making the D700 an affordable full-frame DSLR. This puts it within reach of most enthusiasts who demand top performance at high ISO levels.
The body chassis is that of the D300 while the viewfinder is that of the D3. The D700 also shares the MB-D10 vertical grip with the D300, which means that the camera base is essentially the same. The first thing that you’ll notice with the D700 is that it’s taller than the rest of the lower models including the D300. It is best paired with the super sharp Nikon 24-70mm lens.
