ActiveX problems with security sprung from the first design of the inserted objects.
Initially designed to run applications on a single PC, the safety features weren’t given much consideration. When the technology was however adopted to share objects across numerous applications and platform, the safety weakness turned into a real issue to say with.
To solve these ActiveX problems, Microsoft has developed an ActiveX objects registration system that determines and authenticates ActiveX objects before downloading them on the Computer.
Internet Explorer seven and Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack two have also had their security features augmented to reduce threats linked with that problem.
