A Short Review of the New Motorola Devour
Verizon’s newest cell phone is a Google Android phone, the Devour. It is certainly an excellent phone in many ways.Without a doubt, there is much to admire concerning the Devour. It is fun to use and the performance is good. Also intriguing is the thumb pad next to the bright, although to some extent small, screen. On the downside, why does it come with only Android version 1.6? The Devour remains a solid addition to the Android line. It’s really a less-complicated substitute for the Droid, especially if you’d like a full key pad, however it won’t save much money. At Best Buy or Verizon’s site it’s $149 with service and a mail-in rebate. At Motorola Devour the phone is FREE with a new data plan.
As a MotoBlur phone, the Devour has a different approach to contact management. MotoBlur merges all your contacts, from e-mail accounts, your Facebook page, and so on, into a master list. The trick is to discover ways to put it to use effectively. MotoBlur also offers weather and news icons. Establishing MotoBlur takes a couple of steps, but you should not have any difficulties doing this. Plus, for security purposes, you can utilize MotoBlur to back up your contacts and even locate your phone if it’s lost or stolen.
In general, the Motorola Devour is built to last and delivers on features and performance. A few usability modifications would be helpful and something more than Android 1.6 to operate it, but Motorola has created another good Android phone.
