Garmin Announces New GPS Device

Garmin announced recently about a new GPS unit in its huge catalog of devices. This new GPS is called the Garmin nuvi 1450 and is targeted towards the higher-end of the market, offering a luxurious 5-inch screen and improved features such as multi-destination routing, junction view and lane assist. It is hassle-free and well-designed with its ultra-thin style making it a handy navigational device that can be used anywhere you wish.

The Garmin 1450 also includes speed limit and trip log display, and is compatible with the pedestrian navigation features available in Garmin’s new CityXplorer maps.

Just like the iphone you can now use your finger to easily slide to move between displays. This comes in great when panning the map, allowing you to move more than one screen width. The nuvi 1450 also allows you to customize the lower left data field on the map display.

Move up to the Garmin nuvi 1490T to add free traffic updates and Bluetooth for calling handsfree on your cellphone.
