Road trips are great to go on with your friends, family members or your significant other. They allow you to drive to a vacation spot with no cares at all. It’s just you and those closest to you and the open road. This can be a great way to bond and play different games.

Well it finally happened, the new iPhone 3G is out. And it’s enhanced with a number of new features including: twice the download speed with the new iPhone 3G technology; GPS maps with current traffic; email synching with Microsoft Exchange for business users; and access to the new iPhone Applications Store.

This new iPhone is definitely the ultimate iPod that Apple has produced and I have a feeling that these improvements are just for now and as the competition for cell phones increase, Apple will remain ahead of the pack in future developments.

What Frank is talking about here is the mouse pointer (which is often called a cursor, but Frank is using the correct term here) will sometimes change from an arrow into a little hourglass.

What this means, generally speaking, is that the computer is “pausing to think” for a moment. Mac computers do the same thing, except that they show this with a spinning “beach ball” or multi-colored pinwheel.

This is normal if it happens occasionally, but it should always go back to a regular arrow-shaped pointer after a few moments, except maybe when the computer is doing something very hard on the computer like making changes to a large photo or saving a home movie you’ve been editing, or something like that.

And even in those cases, it should still go back to normal after a few minutes or so, depending on exactly what you’re doing.

So in other words, something simple like replying to an email shouldn’t cause the hourglass (or beachball osx) to appear at all, or definitely not for more than a moment or two.

For those who are fortunate enough to possess an iPhone, you are already aware of the fun that comes with it. Playing with the iPhone, you will discover tips and tricks that are useful. Here are some of them.

1. Tap once at the very top section of the touch screen when you are connected. It will bring you back to the window. You don’t have to scroll to get back there. It saves time.

2. By setting the font in the smallest size possible, you will be able to read more of what is written in the net window. The advantage is by clicking on the link, you can expand that and the link will make it easier for you to click as well.

What was happening was a client would call me and book me for a lesson. Now, consultants are expensive, so people naturally try to get as much out of the lesson as they can by trying to cover as much as possible in just an hour or two.

But as you probably know from experience, that doesn’t really work that well — if you try to learn too much at once, it just goes in one ear and out the other, and a lot of it just doesn’t sink in.

And anybody who’s taken computer classes can tell you those aren’t any better.
As a matter of fact, scientists and top educators have discovered that because of the way that the human mind works, we all learn best in lessons that are about thirty minutes long, or shorter.

If we try to learn in lessons that drone on for an hour or two or three, our brains are physically wired to not take in any more after a while — there is a better way!

So more often than not, people end up throwing away money on consultants. It’s not that the consultants don’t know what they’re doing, or that they’re trying to keep you in the dark — it’s just that the basic idea of learning computers the old way is completely flawed.

It’s important to do things the right way if you want to learn computer basics. It doesn’t matter whether you want computer basics for Windows users, or computer basics for Mac, the right teacher and the right type of lessons can really make things a lot easier for you.

With today’s internet you just can’t live without a home computer. Even designing a vacation you can Google your way to bliss. I wanted a vacation in Illinois so I put in Southern Illinois Vacations and came up with a wealth of sights to see. I had a close friend recently move to Illinois so the wife and I decided to go for a visit and just see the sights along the way. The southern part of the state is much warmer than the northern part so a winter vacation is much better in the south. There are some beautiful sights even in the winter. The weather was mild, I was told that is because the jet stream generally stays north of the southern tip of the state. There is a variety of wildlife in the areas we went through and being the nature buff that I am I was very pleased with that. My friend is very happy he moved there. It isn’t the coast, but who needs all that pressure. The simple farm life is quite desirable. In fact there are days when I yearn for the life of my youth growing up on the farm without any complexities like computers.

I’m an avid jogger. I jog a few miles every day and my iPod accompanies me on every run. The music helps me stay motivated and actually makes my runs quite enjoyable. However, since I jog all the time, my iPod is in constant use. I didn’t want my iPod battery to die off quickly so I looked online for advice on how to increase its life and I actually found ways to extend iPod battery life.

One way that I found very helpful was that keeping your iPod between a specific temperature will actually help extend the battery life. It turns out that if you leave it in a hot environment (i.e. your car on a very hot day), the hot temperature can drain it. I read that it’s recommended to keep it between 32 and 95 degrees, which sound easy to do but I’m from California and I know I’ve left it in my car on scorching hot days many times – but not any more.
