Computer software can be significantly helpful if your work on a PC or Mac all day. Of course, chances are it’s a PC, since that’s all I typically encounter out there in the corporate world. Bill Gates is certainly running the show with his Microsoft software. It’s safe to say that it’s on virtually every computer around now days. Even we Mac users have Windows XP and other applications to take advantage of now. I for one, typically use Microsoft Word on a daily basis. I often need to write articles and essays for work. Furthermore, it’s not uncommon for me to have to create pdf files. This a simple way to present resumes, documents, brochures, books, and even short stories to others.

As a people, we seem to be more enthralled with hardware than software but this little Dragon is worth a look. I use Dragon software to draft and edit documents, write emails, and much more. It is very user friendly and I regularly receive product support info and update alerts from the Dragon software people. The software costs about fifty bucks and it definitely worth the cost. I think that Dragon software pays for itself quickly with all of the time that it saves the user not to mention the headaches that can come with too much time in front of a computer screen.

Fortunately, someone clever came along and realized that since most computers have at least one USB (universal serial bus) port, why not make some sort of storage device which attaches to computers through a USB port?  The memory stick was born.

My dear friend, Marcus Riley, sent me a CD recently, full of punk rock songs he had mixed himself on his personal computer. I was expecting a CD full of music that sounded hacked together since he did not create the CD on professional equipment. However, I was surprised by the quality he was able to achieve utilizing his individual music editing software.

Napster was pretty much the only downloading music software, and just logging on to it was like stepping in to a vast trove of treasure.

Some people use downloading music software to get the mainstream top 40 junk that they would otherwise buy in stores, but not me.
