After they finish their song, they talk about the environment. The following day at church, while they’ve a short commemorative for Green Day, Grampa is possessed by God warns the town of a future disaster.

Marge believes Grampa’s prophecy, and makes a decision to work out the meaning of the message. In the meantime , Lisa starts to speak about the environment, with no success. She encounters Colin, an Irish boy who shares the same passions as her. Homer gets a note from Marge of his chores, and one is fixing the sinkhole. Rather than fixing it, Homer puts Maggie’s sandbox over it. While fixing the roof, Homer and Bart opt to have a dare contest.

Homer shakes it so as to get Bart down. Homer dares Bart to skateboard to Krusty Burger exposed, which Bart object’s to, announcing girls will see his “doodle”. After Homer threatens to call him chicken for the remainder of his life, Bart agrees. Bart becomes stuck exposed on the window of the building. After he is apprehended by the police, and tied to a Stop sign pole, Homer turns up and they decide to reserve a meal, he brings him socks and a shirt, and no pants. Mayor Quimby declares a state of emergency and orders the cleaning and protection of Lake Springfield.

They clean up the lake, and announce it is fool explanation, using Cletus as an example to try and throw a rat in the lake, and fail. Shortly , Marge asks Homer where “Spider-Pig’s / Harry Plopper’s” waste is going.

The police show that Homer polluted the lake and an indignant mob approaches the Simpson’s house and torches it. The family escape thru the sink hole, which expands destroying their house. He suggests the complete family move to Alaska, a plan that Marge at last agrees to. He wins a wagon and the family move to Alaska, and start to enjoy their new life.

Samsung said recently that they will be producing 3D HDTVs on a large scale. They have launched a rather impressive list of 3D HDTVs at the recent CES in Las Vegas. Samsung stated they will be producing 3 sizes initially, in 40-inch, 46-inch, and 55-inch versions employing Samsung’s exclusive true 240Hz technology. Samsung’s true 240Hz technology delivers full-HD viewing in 2D, and also smooth, natural, full-HD 3D images that can vividly capture rapid movements.

You will need active 3D glasses to enjoy 3D playback. The polarized glass method previously used in 3D glasses produced separate images for the left and right eyes, resulting in half the resolution of two-dimensional pictures as only half of the screen can be viewed through each polarized filter.

3D technology was the rage during the recent concluded CES 2010 in Las Vegas. It is billed as a possible savior for recession hit manufacturers looking to boost sales. Demos were abound from leading electronics giants such as Sony, Samsung and Panasonic. Sony and Samsung has already announced 3D blu-ray players like the Sony BDP-S770 that is 3D capable.

Industry analysts said the new technology looks promising with a survey showing around 3.4m 3DTVs will be sold in the US this year. Promising as it is, the lack of 3D media and content will make this new gimmick an uphill task to break into the market over the next 2 to 3 years. The 3D movie Avatar might hasten the progress and acceptance of 3D though.

Another problem consumers face is the need for 3D glasses or goggles to get 3D visuals. This might not sit well if you have a large family or group of friends coming over to watch 3D movies as these 3-D glasses are not exactly cheap and do not come free a new 3DTV. It is worth watching how this industry develops.

Panasonic, known for its push towards plasma technology, has always been at the cutting edge of Blu-ray technology. Its latest blu-ray disc players looks to push the boundaries even further.

The DMP-BD60 is the entry-level player in the company’s latest three-strong line-up - which also includes the step-up Panasonic DMP-BD80 and the DMP-BD70V Blu-ray/VHS combi. The DMP-BD60 is the follow-up to the DMP-BD35, offering nearly the same feature set plus access to VieraCast, Panasonic’s proprietary video content portal. A recent advertisement for HD contact lenses set a new standard for marketing hubris and brought into focus the growing confusion over the meaning of “High Definition.” Regrettably, HD is becoming a catch-all term for “better video,” whether or not it actually meets accepted technical standards for HD image quality. In the video space, where specifications should truly mean something, HD apparently refers to the number of pixels that are sent to a video monitor, regardless of the quality of the information in those pixels. Telepresence technology looks at HD solutions from a different approach: the quality of the information contained in those pixels is just as important as the number.

Nowhere is a precise, technical meaning of HD more important than in the growing field of life-like videoconferencing, where large amounts of information must be transmitted in real time and utilized interactively. Because life-like videoconferencing – also called telepresence – is designed to replicate an in-person meeting experience with great clarity and precision, it requires large bandwidth to achieve high quality results.

For example, DreamWorks Animation interconnects multiple HD-caliber videoconferencing, story board and editing suites so that creative teams can collaborate in the production of films. As recently described in Wired and BusinessWeek, the stream of video and audio information between each DreamWorks location consumes over 20 megs of high quality bandwidth. This enormous requirement can be visualized by imagining a home furnace that must be fed by a giant oil pipeline in order to provide sufficient fuel to heat a house.

Most companies, of course, are not in the film animation business and are therefore unwilling to pay for this extraordinary quantity of broadband. Providing these enterprises with a high quality videoconferencing capability requires a different approach – the use of sophisticated compression technology that reduces video information by 80% or more before it is transmitted, and then restores the data stream at the other end. The job becomes particularly tricky when HD-caliber videoconferencing is desired.

With the exception of “pure HD,” as implemented by DreamWorks, videoconferencing – as a practical, cost effective service for businesses – is technically incapable of replicating the HD technical standards associated with broadcast television. Too much information needs to be removed/restored via the compression process to replicate broadcast quality HD, which employs cameras, recording devices and transmission equipment that far exceed what a typical corporation could afford.

Thus, a new specification for HD videoconferencing should be established – one based on the amount and quality of the source information – rather than simply the pixels – delivered to an end-point. Such a specification would level the playing field for vendors, eliminate hubristic marketing claims and, most importantly, help buyers make informed decisions about the systems they purchase.

An HDTV projection system is really fantastic because it makes you feel just like being in a movie theater. If you have never experienced it, you’re certainly missing out. One of our neighbors was really kind to have my daughter and her little friends over for a night of Disney movies last weekend. They recently bought the HDTV projection and decided to entertain some kids.

I have to admit it was pretty impressive, like actually being there except that there wasn’t really any place as this was a cartoon. It’s hard to tell by looking at the projected image what the actual resolution is, but I’m sure it is quite good. It really looks every bit as good as a movie theater, with the advantage of being at home.
